ECHO develops a number of policies on humanitarian aid and civil protection issues and specific guidelines to facilitate their implementation on the ground. This course will present the main policies and then will focus on Disaster Risk Reduction, Resilience and Cash transfers, as these topics need to be mainstreamed throughout more “traditional” sectors (Food, Health, WASH and so on).
To improve participants knowledge and application of ECHO policies, with specific focus on Disaster Risk Reduction, Resilience and Cash transfers.
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- be familiar ECHO policies and the existing implementation guidelines;
- understand and use ECHO terminology and definitions about: Disaster Risk Reduction and Cash transfers;
- know the key tools developed by ECHO to grant the correct application of Disaster Risk Reduction and Cash policies in humanitarian operations, including their integration through different sectors
1-day training module to strengthen the learners’ knowledge on ECHO policies
