This course aims at supporting participants in dealing with the main financial elements of a DG ECHO funded action, in order to comply with the rules established by the FPA 2014. The training is delivered through presentations completed by background speech and visual effects, along with clarifications, examples and interactions. This course aims at giving a detailed overview of the financial rules to be respected in EU-funded humanitarian aid actions.
The main objective of this course is to improve participant’s knowledge and skills in dealing with the financial issues according to the General Conditions.
At the end of this course participants will:
- Become familiar with DG ECHO rules on the financial management of an Action;
- Be able to apply DG ECHO rules in daily work;
- Know where to find relevant information when needed.
The course is divided into 5 sections, containing lessons, additional materials to deepen some topics, practical exercises and interactions. These are the topics:
Basic rules on ECHO funds management;
Financial information to be provided at proposal stage;
Monitoring and reporting on expenditures;
Expenditures supporting evidence.

Suggested for Partners’ staff who already has a basic knowledge of DH ECHO rules and procedures, for administrative staff and for financial officers.
