
Course Description
This eLearning provides an overview of the DG ECHO GENDER-AGE MARKER TOOLKIT and its application, including introductory guidance on how Partners should integrate gender and age in humanitarian actions and on how to assess the proper application of the marker to humanitarian actions.
Specific Objective
Here are the objectives of the course:
- Understanding why it is important to integrate gender and age in EU funded- humanitarian actions
- Getting familiar with the DG ECHO Gender-Age Marker and how to apply it
Course Modules
This course has three different modules:
Module 1: Why is gender-age mainstreaming important in humanitarian aid? What are the key gender-age concepts?
Module 2: Applying the DG ECHO Gender-Age Marker
Module 3: Using the DG ECHO Gender-Age Marker: case study
Methodology: how to participate?
This is and interactive self-paced eLearning: you will be able to follow the course at your own pace, through your computer, laptop or mobile phone.
After subscription, you will be addressed to the ELSE eLearning platform and subscribed to the course. You will have 30 days, from the first access, to complete the course.
At the end of the course, you will be required to fill in an evaluation form and you will be able to download the certificate of attendance.
eLearning course for DG ECHO Partners to strengthen knowledge on the Gender and Age policy and to to integrate these consideration in the Single Form.

Target group and prerequisites
Staff involved in the management of DG ECHO funded Actions. Please consider that this course requires experience in the implementation/management of DG ECHO funded actions (general knowledge of FPA 2014), so specific issues related to proposal and implementation stage are not covered and are given for granted.
