INCAMMINO – rural communities economic development in the INCA Trail area

The project aims to contribute to the sustainable economic development of 11 communities in the Inca Trail area (Qhapaq Nan) by promoting a development model based on the preservation and enhancement of cultural (material and immaterial) and natural heritage, with the active involvement of the public sector and the application of innovative technologies for the Community tourism sector.

PuntoSud is in charge for the mid-term and final evaluation of the Action, with the overall objective to provide an external feedback about the project achievements and to guide for the further advancement of ICEI (lead agency) regarding future interventions in the field of Responsible Tourism.

Main tasks include:

  • The Execution of a preliminary study aimed at defining the design model developed by ICEI in collaboration with the project partners (main factors, change theory, implementation theory).
  • The accompaniment to the finalization of the monitoring system, aimed at systematically detecting the progress of the main variables necessary to verify the model and to measure the outcomes of the main actions on the identified target groups.
  • The elaboration of an interim report aimed at exposing the main contents of the analyses carried out.
  • The organization of internal seminars for the benefit of partners to discuss achievements, constraints, good (and bad) lesson learnt.
