We consider cities and communities to be privileged areas of intervention for activating regeneration processes capable of responding to concrete local problems.

Cities, especially large urban centres, have a central role in the current earth-system.

Despite covering a limited area of the surface of our planet, cities attract more than half of the population, and are largely responsible for global warming, the growth of inequalities between people and problems related to pollution.

Cities, however, are also key “actors” and possess extremely important human and social resources necessary to face the current climatic, ecological, demographic and technological challenges.

PuntoSud has chosen to consider cities (and in particular communities) as a privileged area of intervention, recognizing their   potential (diversity of actors, knowledge, networks, participation) which is necessary in order to trigger regeneration processes capable of responding to concrete problems with a view to consolidating and disseminating good practices for the benefit of all.
