EU Aid Volunteers brings together volunteers and organisations from different countries, providing practical support to humanitarian aid projects and contributing to strengthening the local capacity and resilience of disaster-affected communities.
The action is managed by ICF consulting services (leading agency) in partnership with MDF Training & Consultancy Brussels, Gesellschaft für Organisations, Planung und Ausbildung mbH (GOPA) Consulting, The Austrian Study Center for Peace and Conflict resolution (ASPR) and Scoula Superiore Sant’Anna (SSUP).
PuntoSud is acting as subcontractor, providing its vast experience in training services for Humanitarian Aid workers and volunteers.
This contract consists of different tasks:
Manage all logistic arrangements for volunteers’ participation, including setting up training facilities and managing volunteers travel and accommodation
Individuals can apply to be deployed to humanitarian projects worldwide, consulting the specific vacancies page. Once the candidate has been selected by a hosting organisation, she/he will be able to participate to the offered training program: first by following the mandatory online courses, which are then followed by the classroom courses. The classroom lessons are a unique opportunity to meet other candidates and exchange ideas and experiences.

The European Solidarity Corps programme aims to provide young people, including those with fewer opportunities, with easily accessible opportunities for engagement in solidarity activities, while improving and validating their competences.
EMERGENCY is working in Sierra Leone since 2001 with a Surgical Centre designed for war victims, then extended to the care of orthopaedic patients and all surgical emergencies.
The EMERGENCY project has its action hub in the Paediatric Centre in Mayo area where EMERGENCY not only offers free and qualified paediatric assistance, but it also provides women with Antenatal Care and promotes a preventive approach to child and maternal healthcare through health education sessions.
