The Co.Re method

Connecting

We believe that by building bridges between different subjects and know-how and focusing on the approaches necessary to obtain the desired change, we can find the most appropriate solutions to social problems.

Today’s world is infinitely rich in ideas and solutions to solve existing social problems. Despite this, project design in the social field tends to focus on analysing the single problems that need to be solved, without acknowledging the potential of those solutions which have already been tested.

In other words, all too often there is a tendency to write a context specific project without adequately considering what has already been done, what actors and processes have been activated and the opportunities and critical aspects which have emerged.

In order to find the correct answers to complex problems, we connect diverse subjects and build bridges between different situations and know-how. It is for this reason that we promote the adoption of systemic and participatory approaches, network building, co-planning and co-design of intervention models, while always focusing on the methods for obtaining the desired change.

In fact, we believe that the best solutions can be found in the intersection between what we know already and what we can discover through new encounters; combining knowledge with curiosity will always give birth to good ideas.

Sharing

We don’t ask ourselves whether another world is possible but rather, we try to concentrate on the way to obtain change by sharing our knowledge and ideas.

Networking doesn’t only mean connecting organizations, people and experiences. In order to generate added value through a network it is necessary that all of the actors involved wish to share their own knowledge and are willing to contaminate themselves, recognizing that which is positive and essential in each interlocutor.

We believe that sharing ideas is the best way for them to grow, with the objective of improving both individually and collectively. We start from the assumption that acquiring knowledge is a process which should never consider itself completed. Innovation is rarely born of a single revolutionary idea, most often it originates from the ability to bring improvements to the many, already existing, good ideas, making them visible and accessible.

Thus, our habitat is a place where sharing and contamination thrive.

Consolidating

We study in order to identify and strengthen social change models while using empirical evidence to elaborate and disseminate best practices.

Finding ways of measuring the results obtained is now an essential component of work in the third sector. This is fundamental when it comes to reporting to stakeholders and for the evaluation of the sustainability, scalability and replicability of the interventions.

Our actions, as well as our monitoring and evaluation of projects carried out by others, are based on a results analysis in order to elaborate, model and disseminate best practices, with the aim of recognizing and strengthening social change models. The best practices which we identify are constantly subject to research and transformation with the aim of consolidating them over time.

After all, social innovation is a continuous process of learning, sharing and refinement of the methods necessary to achieve the changes that we wish to see in the world.

Thus, our habitat is a place where sharing and contamination thrive.
