Today’s world is infinitely rich in ideas and solutions to solve existing social problems. Despite this, project design in the social field tends to focus on analysing the single problems that need to be solved, without acknowledging the potential of those solutions which have already been tested.
In other words, all too often there is a tendency to write a context specific project without adequately considering what has already been done, what actors and processes have been activated and the opportunities and critical aspects which have emerged.
In order to find the correct answers to complex problems, we connect diverse subjects and build bridges between different situations and know-how. It is for this reason that we promote the adoption of systemic and participatory approaches, network building, co-planning and co-design of intervention models, while always focusing on the methods for obtaining the desired change.
In fact, we believe that the best solutions can be found in the intersection between what we know already and what we can discover through new encounters; combining knowledge with curiosity will always give birth to good ideas.
NOPLANETB is a project funded by the European Commission under the DEAR program, in which PuntoSud is the lead organization. The other EU countries involved are: Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Estonia. 210 selected small sized CSOs in these 8 countries will receive financial and capacity building support, involving local authorities, to promote science-based solutions and just transition practices and policies. Final beneficiaries of the action will be disengaged citizens, including marginalised and vulnerable groups
As part of the “Reactions” call to action launched by the Compagnia di San Paolo, PuntoSud was contracted to accompany a capacity building and follow-up program for the empowerment of the beneficiaries of the grant and to provide them with support in the implementation and reporting of supported projects.
Aim of the project is to provide tools and new spaces of dialogue in order to help the actors of the formal and informal field activate themselves through educational and training activities to fight climate change, after deeply understanding its mechanisms
