The project aims to contribute to the strengthening of Non State Actors (NSA) and Local Authorities (LA) in EU New Member States (NMS), including networks and platforms, in developing multi-actor partnerships and in dealing with the EC Institutions.
The project purpose is identified as improved access to information, methods and best practices on AIDCO-programmes and contractual obligations guaranteed to New Member States NSA/LA wishing to strengthen and enlarge their co-operation capacity and reinforce their institutional accountability vis-à-vis EU Institutions.
The project purpose will be achieved through the establishment of a permanent helpdesk-platform and interactive website focused on AIDCO programmes and the development of workshops, learning material and information technology (IT) supporting tools.
The idea behind this project is to expand punto.sud Helpdesk activities to the development sector of the EC and, consequently, to facilitate the work of the NSA/LA dealing with EuropeAid worldwide.
Another project component is dedicated to the support of partner organisations in promoting networks and internal capacity-building, and improving their compliance to and understanding of EC regulations. Specifically, the project activities will concern:
• The creation and development of a website dedicated to the support of NSA and LA working with DG AIDCO (EuropeAid). Delivery of day-to-day support to HQ and field offices running EC-funded development projects
• Specific managerial support guaranteed to NMS organisations with EC-funded running projects and effective capacity-building to NSA/LA staff
• The development of a helpdesk-platform with the aim of promoting project activities and monitoring/assessing difficulties of NMS NSA/LA in dealing with AIDCO
• Promotion of focal point role (Antenna) played by partners in their respective country in identifying potential actors interested in helpdesk activities, dissemination of information and trainings to be organised in the project partner sites (Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Poland)
