Course Description

Get this e-learning course to start or improve your communication strategy through the use of social media. Social Media tools offer the possibility to communicate effectively and in a variety of ways, revolutionizing the way that information is created, shared, organized and accessed. They offer collaboration and networking features, which can support CSOs work and sharing of knowledge, resources and ideas. As communication via social media tools is often considered to be informal and less filtered, it offers an expanded potential of making an instant impact on the audience. If tapped efficiently, the potential of social media can enable CSOs to increase the outreach of both their organizations and the social issues they work with. The accessibility, philosophy and reach of these tools make them ideal for CSOs to exploit for their networking, awareness campaigns and institutional visibility.

The course provides support to CSOs in understanding how to use the most common social networks, like twitter, facebook, linkedin and youtube and provide step-by-step suggestions to organise on-line petitions or campaigns.

This e-learning course has been developed by Fondazione punto.sud within the EU-funded project “Development of the ENV.net in West Balkan and Turkey: giving citizens a voice to influence the environmental process reforms for closer EU integration” and it is free of charge.
